More Fun in Whitehorse

Friday night, we wandered around town a bit.

Kimmy having a cold one

Saw this neat writing desk memorial to Robert Service.

Saturday morning, back to the MacBride Museum for Kim to have a look.

I bet Bruce and Iss saw a movie projected by this projector back in the 50s or early 60s.

Then - off to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. The Bald Eagle was ready for his close-up.

Elk

Buffalo

 Mule Dear

 A northern flower

Wonderful mountain view.

I loved all the pine -I think Red Pine

Caribou

Arctic Fox

Lynx -when he growled at me - I could feel my nuts headed north.

Mountain goats

I think this is a northern bluebird

More mountain goats- shedding big time

Thinhorn Sheep

Mountain Goats

Muskoxean

A elk that had just given birth

Clowning around with antlers

Following that - back down south of Whitehorse to the Inn on the Lake on Marsh Lake to stay there Saturday and Sunday night.

Some people we met - Wes and Murtia (sp?) -very nice people.

Kimmy by Marsh Lake.

This morning(Sunday) - before the rain - off we went to Miles Canyon for a hike - so very pretty - glad we  did this before the rain.

So - we got back to the Inn on the Lake and it was raining. It has stopped know - but we are just going to take it easy for the rest of the afternoon. In the morning - we will take Kim to the airport - and then off we go to Dawson City for the next leg - headed for Tuktoyaktuk!
